Ecce Agnus Dei

ordinarium missæ

Genuflecting, the priest takes the ciborium in his left hand and a single particle in his right, holds it a little above the ciborium, turns to those about to communicate, and says:

priest:

Deinde dicit:

Then the priest says, and the people say with him:

priest:

The words said three times over, the priest goes to their right, that is, to the Epistle side, and gives the Sacrament to each, making the sign of the cross with it over the ciborium and saying:

priest:

All having communicated, the priest returns to the altar saying nothing, and gives them no blessing, since he will give it at the end of Mass.
